Directions for User: The usual oral dose in horses is 1 or 2gm per 500lbs, but not to exceed 4gm daily. Use a relatively high dose for the first 48 hours, then reduce gradually to a maintenance dose. Maintain the lowest dose capable of producing desired clinical response.
Special Precautions: This medication should not be used in animals allergic to it. If no significant clinical response is evident after 5 days, re-evaluate diagnosis and therapeutic approach. This medication is not for use in horses intended for food. Keep out of reach of children.
