Jennifer Thompson, DVM

Dr. Jennifer Thompson joined Lodi Veterinary Hospital in 2000 after completion of an intense medical and surgical internship at Wisconsin Equine Clinic and Hospital. She is a 1999 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She grew up near Oregon, WI and has been involved with, and owned horses most of her life.

Professionally she enjoys all aspects of equine practice, and finds the challenges of lameness and podiatry, opthalmology, dentistry, reproduction, and surgery/anesthesia the most intriguing. Dr. Jennifer also enjoys the aspects of client education from talking with young horse owners or writing educational articles for national publications.

When not working, she enjoys competing her horses in combined driving and pleasure driving events, schooling dressage, and trail riding. When not with her horses, she enjoys traveling, reading, downhill skiing, and volunteering with National Ski Patrol at Cascade Mountain in Portage, WI. Dr. Jennifer lives on acreage outside of Lodi with her two Golden Retrievers, three cats, and four horses.

 She is a member of the WVMA, the AAEP, the AVMA, and the WEPA. 

 Dr. Thompson joined the LVH team as a doctor in 2000.
