Dean Meyer, DVM

Dr. Dean Meyer began his Veterinary career at Lodi Veterinary Hospital after receiving his BS and DVM degree from Michigan State University. He later owned and operated Riverdale Veterinary Clinic in Muscoda, Wisconsin and in 1984 he established Madison Equine Clinic. In late 2007 a decision was made to merge Madison Equine Clinic with Lodi Veterinary Hospital, bringing his career full circle.

Dr. Dean has been involved with horses and their owners on many different levels during his career. He helped establish the Wisconsin State Horse Council and was their first President. He is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Equine Practitioners. Dr. Dean's interests in equine nutrition led to the formation of Doctor’s Choice Supplements, the makers of Equi-Shine. His other professional interests include reproduction, lameness and all aspects of dental care.

Dr. Dean also enjoys raising and showing Morgan horses with his wife Wendy and daughter Nicole.

Dr. Meyer joined the LVH team as a doctor in 1969-76, then started Madison Equine Clinic, which merged with Lodi Veterinary Hopsital in early 2008.
