Alissa Leistico, DVM

Since Dr. Leistico was young, growing up in Dickeyville, WI, she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Dr. Leistico completed her bachelor’s degree at UW-Platteville in animal science and chemistry. She then attended the Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine with initial aspirations of being a dairy veterinarian. During her first year of veterinary school she was hired at Lodi Veterinary Hospital as a Veterinary Service Specialist and Technician Assistant. She quickly changed her focus to small animal medicine. After graduating, she rejoined the LVH team as a small animal doctor. Dr. Leistico’s strongest interests are in emergency/critical care medicine and surgery.

Dr. Alissa Leistico and her husband Ben live in Lodi with their son, Logan. They share a house with two Brittany Spaniels (Molly and Jackson) and a calico cat (Maddy). Ben works for Manke Enterprises during the day and volunteers his evenings coaching high school basketball and baseball. In their spare time, they enjoy participating in sporting events, camping and spending time with their families. They are devoted Wisconsin fans, always finding time to support the Badgers, Packers and Brewers.

Dr. Leistico is a member of the professional organizations WVMA and AVMA.

 Dr. Leistico joined the LVH team as a doctor in 2007.
