Angie Lathrop, DVM
Dr. Angie Lathrop (Treinen) started as a kindergartner who couldn’t pronounce “veterinarian,” so she announced she wanted to be an “animal doctor.” And so she did. Lucky thing, too, as she is now married to a farmer and has an array of dogs (Little Dog and Abby,) cats (Princess Peach, Luna, and Shadow,) a pet rooster (Roosty,) Belgian horses, goats, turkeys, and assorted other furry and feathered friends.
Dr. Lathrop grew up in LaCrosse, WI, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. She lives on a farm outside of Lodi, where she and her husband, Alan Treinen, have a corn maze and pumpkin patch. They have two sons, Thomas and Patrick, who are the fourth generation on the Treinen Farm.
Dr. Lathrop is a member of the AVMA and WVMA. Her other interests are prairie restoration, running, hiking, skiing, writing, and reading. She volunteers in the Lodi schools and is active in the Autism Society of Greater Madison. She also coaches a team of six-year-old tennis players.
Dr. Lathrop joined the LVH team as a doctor in 1993 and currently works as a relief veterinarian for LVH.
