Cassie Leiterman, DVM

Formerly Dr. Cassie Torhorst, began practicing with our clinic in June of this year. She was raised in Oregon, WI where her family had horses while she was growing up. She attended University Of Wisconsin- River Falls for her undergraduate and attended UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation,  she completed an extensive internship at Anoka Equine Veterinary Services, focusing on lameness and emergency medicine. She has special interest in performance horse medicine, lameness, and podiatry.

Dr. Cassie and her husband Dr. Ryna Leiterman, a large animal veterinarian, have two thoroughbred geldings, Pete and Major, along with two dogs. Dr. Cassie enjoys riding and competing her horses, being with their dogs, and any activity outdoors.
